I decided to redo my review. The first one I gave 1 star bc of the way I was treated by 1 employee. It was bad enough that I will never forget it but I'm going to review the store itself. The store itself is beautiful and has a very clean happy atmosphere. I have no complaints about the store except the prices are too small and they are hidden which I understand is marketing. It's a busy place so don't go in there if you are in a hurry. I don't know what the deal at front counter is but something needs to change. Everybody that was in that store was not happy once they got up to the front. It takes too long to just check out. A better system needs to be done. For instance when I got up there I was frazzled and when the cashier said what's your phone number I could not remember it and that's where my bad experience happened. So instead of putting the girls name out there I'll just say fix your system it's too slow should not take 15 minutes for one person to check out. Besides after all that I didn't even get to use the coupon that I had that needed to have my phone number to begin with. So when I paid 54.00 for something and had a coupon for it and get treated like crap by the employee. Just let people pay for their stuff and go on.

TLDR: The manager here Ashley has awful customer service and doesn’t seem to care about the satisfaction of the shoppers in her store, spend your money elsewhere.

My beloved Babyliss straightener finally crapped out yesterday after 10+ years. Ulta is the only store that had it in stock and with NYE coming up I didn’t want to wait. I was going to place a pickup order from this store using a coupon code I had for $5 off, but when I went to do so the website stated the free gift (a travel size hairdryer!) was not in stock in store. So I decided to just go in and pick it up so I wouldn’t have to wait the 2+ hours for a pickup order. My coworker also gave me a paper coupon for $5 off but in my hurry to get my new straightener I forgot it on my desk.

I got to the register at this location and luckily they did have the free gift! I explained the situation about the code and coupon I’d forgotten. The cashier was nicely trying to help me but couldn’t figure out how to enter my code at the register so she called her manager (Ashley) over. I showed her my code, and Ashley took one short glance and refused to honor it - something about a vendor coupon? So if I place an order online for pickup, I could use this coupon code and save $5 while making your employees have to do more work to get the order ready, but if I decide to go ahead and grab it myself therefore lessening the burden on your workers, you aren’t going to honor the coupon? For a measly $5? Make it make sense. It would’ve been nothing off her back to honor my $5 and again, it is $5 off a $170 purchase - I wasn’t asking for a lot! Even the cashier apologized when Ashley walked away. Very disappointed in this store’s awful customer service, but thankfully these straighteners last longer than a presidency so I won’t ever have to return! Shame on you Ulta and someone should talk to Ashley about her customer service decisions 🙄

I came to this location to get my brows done and had a wonderful experience. My brow girl was amazing. Her name was Chloe, she was so knowledgeable and kind. I will be coming back to see her.

Today my teen daughter asked me to take her to ULTA to look for the new Billie Eilish perfume, it was already sold out but got the chance to smell the fragrance from the tester, we walked around the store for a bit and looked around, we started walking to the exit when we heard someone gagging out loud, I turned and there they were, 3 associates smelling the Billie Eilish perfume, laughing, gagging, saying it smelled horrible and another one saying it smelled like dirt, I couldn’t believe it, my daughter felt embarrassed and left, so guess what? She is now thinking if she should get it or not because of the dumb comments she heard. I don’t think that’s an appropriate behavior at least when clients are in store, they can have their opinions but save it for when no one is around! Come on! 😒😒

The stylist here HACKED my bangs. I came in for a haircut, I did not ask her to cut my bangs, I didn't even notice she did it, but when she blow dried my hair she didn't style my bangs and I thought that was weird. I didn't see the horror until I got home. I never write reviews and wasn't going to, but it's been a week and I'm still devastated. Christmas is in 2 weeks and I look like a covid diy gone wrong. I can't believe she did this to me, and I DIDN'T EVEN TELL HER TO CUT MY BANGS AT ALL! They are way short and soooo uneven, I don't even know how she did this, anyone with moderate ability could see this is completely hacked. I don't want to blast her name, but beware the stylists that aren't "master" or elite. Oh and I paid and tipped to have me hair ruined, so yay.

This is my local ulta because I work right up the street so I’m here quite often. Everyone here has always been so nice and friendly even when I have a ton of questions. I had issues because my diamond member coupon wasn’t working and the way everyone helped me out and went above and beyond was soooo appreciated! Love this store and everyone I have encountered.

I went into the Roosevelt Ulta location today seeking help because I am 30 years old and I know ZERO about makeup! I never thought I would ever want to wear makeup but have been going through skin issues lately and I have just not been happy with my face. I went to the front register because I had a return first, De’Shawn greeted me with a huge friendly smile and swept me off my feet with AMAZING customer service she not only helped me with my return she helped me with my makeup by applying the appropriate makeup that I needed while giving advice along the way and recommending products. On top of that even helping me sign up on the ulta app and calling another location to make sure I got the products I needed. I was really nervous going to Ulta today because I didn’t even know what I needed but De’Shawn did her job and then some taking all the worry off of me so thank you! De’Shawn at Roosevelt Ulta did amazing and everyone else working there just seemed so friendly it was worth driving 25 minutes past the Ulta closest to my house 🙂
