Went there for lunch. They were lovely when I callled and asked if we could come half an hour early. They were all very welcoming very friendly our waitress Patricia was so lovely and the matre d Georgio was super friendly. My son had the filet mignon and it was so big he couldn't finish it. Had a lovely char and was cooked exactly as their guide said medium pink in the middle/
Not red. He also got the shrimp and they were huge and nicely grilled. It came with the creamed spinach and my son and I were not fans of it- a little bland and bitter. I had the shrimp scampi and as an Aussie I'm a little fussy and they were a little overcooked /dry but the garlic sauce was delicious. We got the baked potato which was great and the loaded mac and cheese was good but not super cheesy. They gave my son a piece of their key lime pie for free for his birthday and it was delicious- better than Cheesecake Factory and made in house. Old school waiters and lovely service. Great decor. Got to try the wine before deciding which is nice because at $20 a glass you'd want to like it. All in all it was a super nice very expensive experience but worth it. We did find out there is a secret menu but only know of chicken wings. Would love to know what else . The menu and prices online are out of date - sides are now $16. I'd love to go again sometimes but will probably save for a special occasion . Def one to tick off the bucket list but not great enough to be something I'd kill to get back to.

Had a fantastic dinner at The Grill on the Alley in Beverly Hills. We started with the tuna tartare and the crab cake—both were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. To drink, we ordered an Old Fashioned and a Margarita, and both were well made and balanced.

For our entrée, we shared the short rib, which was perfectly tender and flavorful, paired with their creamy spinach that was rich and satisfying.

I also want to highlight the excellent hospitality: the manager, Chad, went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect, and our server, Angel, was attentive and professional throughout the meal.

Overall, The Grill on the Alley delivered a classic Beverly Hills dining experience with great food, well-made drinks, and truly outstanding service. Can’t wait to come back!

Hidden gem that you have to know about to find it: a well kept secret until you know.

This is the epitome of old school dining. Waiters are dressed as professionals and flanked by food runners and busboys. The service is seamless and tireless. The menu is extensive and has something for everyone. In, addition, there are daily specials that expand your choices to the horizon.

The lunch crowd is also old school and likely to be doing serious business in the booth across from your table.

I strongly recommend reservations. Tables are in demand and even with a reservation, you may be asked to respect their scheduling and wrap up your visit in preparation for the next guest.

For a casual meeting or a waypoint while waiting for your table, there is a small bar at the entry that is fully capable of exceeding your expectations.

Note: I've only visited for lunch and my experience has been consistently one of excellence in presentation and execution. I can't imagine dinner being anything other than the same.

This restaurant is a perfect dining spot for anyone over 60 - 65. The service is impeccable. The steak was really delicious and perfectly cooked. The prawn dish contained great big and tasty prawns. The oysters failed miserably. I have never eaten such small and tasteless .....things. awful.

We also had issue with the wine list not having anything below $120-150 a bottle. That should not be. Initially, we wanted to enjoy our own wine but the corkage fee is $50.00 which is simply ridiculous.

Overall, the service was great as was the steak and the prawns. The oysters should be avoided and the wine list should be more affordable.

We celebrated our anniversary at The Grill on the Alley and could not have asked for a better evening. From the moment we walked in, Kenneth and Lisa gave us the warmest welcome at the front door, and Chad, the AGM, made us feel right at home. Our server Gina was absolutely fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about the food. The rest of the staff were equally attentive and made sure everything was perfect.
The food was outstanding. We started with oysters and a shrimp cocktail that were poached to perfection. For mains, I enjoyed the John Dory with creamed spinach, while my wife had the ribeye with béarnaise sauce and mashed potatoes. The smoky flavor of the ribeye was divine—one of the best steaks we’ve had.
Every detail, from the service to the cuisine, made our evening truly memorable. We left with full hearts and full stomachs. Highly recommend The Grill on the Alley for a special night out!

The food, drinks and service were delicious! Our waitress Kat was personable and attentive. She met our every need without hesitation. Chad, the general manager was courteous as well. I will definitely be back. I truly enjoyed this experience. The chicken pot pie, heirloom, tomato salad, pink lady martini and lemon drop martini, made my night amazing.

Honestly, the best spot in Beverly Hills for something quality AND genuine. I work next door and eat here more often that my waistline deserves, but my soul is always happy after a meal from The Grill. Everything I’ve tried from The Grill is cooked/flavored/presented exactly how you’d imagine; being a classic chophouse, the dishes are as archetypal as the restaurant and staff. Places like this are rarer by the day: where they remember your name, provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and seem genuinely interested in your comfort and wellbeing as a person. My profession requires that I understand, and propagate, the principles and practices of genuine luxury service and I can tell you that this restaurant hits every note every time.

As an east coast native, restaurants like The Grill remind me of those old-school restaurants that provided refuge from the hustle of our daily lives. Comfort foods, steaks/chops, seafood…the classics that many places try to replicate but can only imitate. Entering The Grill feels like you’re miles (maybe decades) away from this city in all the best ways, even though it has always had an integral place in the fabric of Beverly Hills.

I will always recommend The Grill and I suggest you give it a try for lunch, dinner, drinks…however you can experience Giorgio and the whole crew at The Grill!
