Very fun place to shop for snacks and candy and very unique soft drinks plus they have a food bar and so many types of hot sauce and jellies and jams and relishes. Penny candy takes you back to your childhood. It has a great atmosphere amazing products and is a fun place to shop. I truly acted like a kid in a candy shop.

The staff was friendly, engaged in conversation with my guest and me, and very helpful. Their selection of items were abundant! Wall-to-wall of nostalgic treats, sodas, jelly beans, fresh fruit; and their salad bar looked delicious, too. I bought a retro bottled Fanta, Dr. Pepper flavored jelly beans and some pickles. It wasn't too crowded either, so we were able to maneuver throughout the store fairly easily. A Saturday well spent. I'd like to visit again when I have more time, but I would definitely recommend it.

The Famous Tomatos is a place where you can find nostalgic candy, an impressive assortment of hot sauces, from Blair's to brands you have never even heard of, i can almost promise you, you will find a new favorite from their selection. More impressive is the sodas, they carry s good selection of for nostalgia, but also many smaller micro brew products.

If that wasn't enough, they have the best seasonal menu of goods, probably the best caramel apples I've ever had and a sald and chilly bar that more people seem to like than what I've mentioned. It has been one of my favorite places to visit since I first learned of them in Avon Indiana. You only drawback is the small parking lot where they are now located on 10th St near Allison Transmission. You should stop in, where else can you buy morel mushrooms without knowing a guy or hunting for them your self, for those of us who don't know how, have the time or just cant take the demanding hikes through the woods to chance upon the.

This store is right out of my childhood. It carries all the classic candies like Boston baked beans, candy cigarettes, lemon heads, etc. Nice salad bar and an impressive selection of various hot sauces. Great choices of Amish jams and jellies, beets, etc. Great prices! You definitely must check it out!

A Hidden Gem That Never Disappoints!

OMGOODNESS! I've known about this place since my days of living in the area, but I never frequented it often. Honestly, I tried to avoid it because it brings out the kid in me, and I end up wanting everything! The selection is amazing, from candy and foods to fresh vegetables and sauces.

Today, I couldn't resist the craving for one of their custom-made salads and their Tomato Basil Bisque—which is absolutely to die for. And I am just that, “DEAD!” it didn’t disappoint—everything was just as delicious as I remembered.

If you haven't been here yet, I highly recommend stopping in—IF YOU DARE! But be warned, self-discipline is recommended upon entering to resist all the tempting options, OR NOT! You can just give in to all your tastebuds desires.

Tried the salad bar for the first time. It kind of reminded me of the Marsh salad bar. They have everything you need salad wise. I had the raspberry vinaigrette as dressing, and it was really good.

I don't trust them or there prices. Resent example is they are selling the new fall out soda by Jones for 8.99 a bottle. When it's only 2.50 or less at other stores right now. Iv seen similar things like that in the past and that's why I stopped going for over five years . Was in town for a funeral and thought I'd give them a try just to find they are still charging scam prices for things Meijer has.
Update: what part of this is "fake" your price or that Meijer has it for cheaper? Because I can go to your store and Meijer and take pictures and upload them to this review if you want to call me a lier..... Just got the Pic uploaded and my bad it was less then $2 for other stores while you charge 8.99

Nice old school store with season fresh vegetables. They had a fresh salad bar and a nice selection of yummy soups. This place has all the spices and hot sauces you will ever need.
