Heavy metal vibes and ice cold beers.

Needing a break from the afternoon shenanigans, we walked over to Stompbox Brewing after checking out the Skybridge for a quick drink. We didn’t exactly plan to visit it this early into the day but since it was right there, we figured it was the perfect time to check it out so we didn’t have to backtrack.

Upon walking in, I knew I was in my place. I am a big fan of hard rock and heavy metal and this place oozed with tributes and references to many metal bands and songs. But, it doesn’t beat you over the head with it too much and has a restaurant/bar vibe going as well. Emily and I took a table and ordered some drinks while we took this place in.

We didn’t have late lunch plans but knew we wanted to keep exploring before eating and settling in for the day, so we stuck with just beer here. The food menu did look pretty good and the hot pretzel bites did sound like the perfect accompaniment to our beer but maybe next time. I grabbed the Hefe Metal and Emily got a flight of beers. Her choices were: Devils Made Me Brew It, Flood Insurance, When the Levee Breaks, and Peach Fuzz. I really enjoyed my Hefe Metal and grabbed a can of it to go. Emily really liked the When the Levee Breaks but, in general, liked all her beers but the Devils. When we first took a sip, it was really good but at the halfway point, the beer started to smell and taste like a dirty gym locker room. She let me have the honors of putting the rest of it down.

While we were relaxing and having our beers, we saw they had stickers and some sweet shirt designs. The stickers were only $1, so we grabbed two of each. There was a shirt design we both really liked but only mine was in stock. Emily was okay with that since one of the stickers had the design on it, too. Shirts were $25 a piece.

Since we were only here for a quick stop, I’ll keep this short. The beer for the most part was delicious. The people working were super friendly and the vibe of the place was killer. Between here, Wake Brewing, and Raccoon Motel, I’m starting to think the Quad Cities has a pretty solid heave metal scene… which is pretty frickin’ a in my book. I’d highly suggest Stompbox Brewing if you need a place to grab a beer and do some light headbanging.

We decided to check this place out after a very long day of flying and driving from Chicago. The atmosphere was very pleasant, friendly and fun. The beer variety was great and so was their mixed drink menu. Their food was excellent and I highly recommend the Cheesy Burger and the margarita pizza. The service was excellent and very fast.

Love the music/musician theme as seen by the guitar boxes on the beer tappers. Service was fast and friendly. I also liked the handrawn coasters.

The food was amazing, Alisa the server was great even though it was only her 4th day here, and the atmosphere is cool! We will definitely be back! Congrats on your 5 years Stompbox Brewery!

We were in town visiting our son at college and decided to give this place a try. We weren't planning on eating, but decided to have the nachos & I'm not kidding, they were the best nachos we have ever had. Every chip had something on it - the sauce on it was amazing & made every bite delicious. The beer was awesome - my husband loves his IPAs and he said they were great. I just had a hefe, but it was delicious. We go to a lot of breweries - my husband asked one question b/w 2 & the bartender didn't seem to offer much, like most do, nor even a taste of one of them, which is kind of odd - seems pretty standard - again, not a huge deal, just noting it. We sat at the bar as we were just in for a bit & the atmosphere was great - nice to watch a game or two. My 4 star service (including the mention above about beer) we asked for food menus, but basically had to send up flares to get the bartender to take the order & when we were done, we had to again, send flares to the get the check - actually, we set our empty glasses towards the bar & someone came right over. It's not a huge deal because the food & beer were awesome - we'd def go back again & again. Awesome place - check it out if in the area & love going to breweries!

Pink Pony Potion – A Must-Try Sour from Stompbox Brewing!
If you love sours, Pink Pony Potion from Stompbox Brewing is an absolute game-changer. This strawberry shortcake sour is unmatched—perfectly balanced, delightfully tart, and packed with nostalgic dessert vibes.
I first tried it when Stompbox sponsored the Bacon & Beer 10K, and I’ve been obsessed ever since. I’ve already gone back three times just to grab cans to-go! It’s hands down the best sour I’ve ever had, and I really hope they brew more. If you see it available, do yourself a favor and grab one—you won’t regret it!

Went here for mother's day. Nice little place with amazing music. We were sat putside and hamded paper menus. The server was nice and recommended us a few things. I tried a pink.pony for the first time and it was so good! We ordered the pulled pork bbq pizza which was okay. The pretzel bites were amazing with the beer cheese dip. Our food came fast and was still hot.
I would recommend this place! I plan om going there again!

The waitress came over right away to take our drink order. We got our drinks in a timely manner. But my husband had to goto the bar to ask for menus. Then we had to wave the wait staff over to order. We got our food in a reasonable time. I ordered a cheese steak, it was good. The fries were just a bit warmer than room temp. My husband ordered a bacon jam burger. The bacon jam was supposed to have jalapeños in it. My husband didn't taste any. One of the hamburger patties was not fully cooked, on the outside edge.
