I highly recommend Morkes Chocolates Cedar Lake for all your chocolate needs. It is locally owned, with a variety of delicious sweets; many that change by the holiday or season. You should definitely stop in regularly to see what's new, from Valentines Day chocolate covered strawberries to chocolate Easter bunnies and Easter baskets, to summer loving Dole Whips, to holiday gifts. In addition to the gorgeous shop, there is a party room perfect for kids birthday parties, team building events, and school fundraisers. Adults can partake as well, with packages for fondue parties (think ladies nights!) Our first visit to Morkes was inspired by a walk-in event to allow kids to make their own chocolate. We were directed to the party room, and the staff was friendly, organized, and patient. My kids enjoyed themselves, and the chocolate was delicious. Mark, the owner, stood out to me. He was interacting with many members of the community and helping manage an influx of people who came in for the event. We spoke a bit about the history of the store and brand. He was very kind and took great pride in the beautifully decorated store.

Beautiful store, the chocolates were #1! The caramel apples were the best they were enormous and loaded with an abundance of goodness. Best I’ve ever had. Service was excellent and everyone working there had an excellent knowledge of all things chocolate! I would definitely recommend, worth the trip!

I moved from the South Bend area to Cedar Lake and wanted to compare Morkes to the South Bend Chocolate Company. Morkes store was super clean, the staff was friendly, helpful, and most importantly to me, not overbearing (unlike SB). I tried Morkes malt balls and they were on another level compared to SB. They were bigger, had more malt, and the chocolate was just better. I will be back and only buy my gourmet chocolate from Morkes from now on.

My daughter had a softball tournament in Cedar lake and we stopped in Morkes to pass some time. Once we walked in we were amazed at the beautiful displays of chocolate and how nice and knowledgeable the workers were. Kris, I believe is the owner, was amazing! She helped me pick out several different kinds of chocolate for us and I can tell she takes pride in her work. I also bought caramel and chocolate covered apple's which was recommended by the manager, I believe his name was Mike or Mark. Needless to say we ate majority of the chocolate on the way home😂. The chocolate and covered Apple's were amazing and I will be back for the holidays to get family and friends chocolate gift baskets.

If you are looking for chocolates like what you see in fancy chocolate shops in Europe, this is the place to be. I’m glad that the store is close by ❤️
I got Amaretto truffles, Hazelnut truffles, Boudreaux truffles, Lemoncello truffles, Grand Mariner truffles and French Cream both dark and milk. I’m happy with my choices and they are high quality.

This place is just what Cedar Lake needed! The birthday party room is such a wonderful touch, and the atmosphere is pleasant. There’s such a large selection of chocolates, it was hard to pick just a few!

This was my first visit to Morkes. I took my granddaughter, (age 9 yrs old), to Morkes for her friend's birthday party. We were so surprised. It's a beautiful shop filled with all kinds of lovely & tasty chocolates. The staff is so friendly & helpful. The party room was decorated so nice. Each guest had their own apron & took home everything they made. Of course, I had to purchase some items myself. They were delicious! If you like malted balls, you need to try triple dip malted balls. Delicious! Just stop in & check Morkes out. You won't regret it!
