My wife and I took a vacation to Eureka Springs, AK from Iowa. Lovely town with lots to do and see. One of the highlights of the entire trip was this little Irish place. Very cool atmosphere, very inviting. We were seated quickly and got some drinks. When it came time to order I asked the waitress for recommendations she didnt hesitate and said Shepards Pie or the Red Fish. I normally would not order a Shepards Pie but I did. Waitress said I wouldn't regret it. WOW! Understatement of the decade! Without question, the best dish I've ever ordered at any restaurant period! Amazing is word to describe it. Besides the food, the help they employ are very nice and knowledgeable. I was so impressed I bought a t-shirt to advertise for them in Iowa!

We visited on a Saturday night and they were busy. We were greeted at the door and quickly seated.
Atmosphere is very cozy & welcoming. Tables are close but roomy enough to not feel like your in others space.
It was a short wait for our waiter to take our drink & food orders. The meal took some time to come out but there were games & cards on the table to keep us busy while we waited.
Portions were VERY generous. Large enough for 2 people to share.
We had the corned beef & cabbage and fish/shrimp & chips.
The corned beef & cabbage were hot & tasty. The mashed potatoes were tasty but not exactly hot.
The fish/shrimp & chips were ok. Shrimp was crispy & tasty but the fish portions were a little chewy & didn’t have much flavor. The fries were good.
Prices felt a little steep, but portions are very larger and we understand we are in ES and food prices are $$$ everywhere. Hopefully the higher prices equate to good compensation for the staff.
This was our first time in - of course we’ll give them another go as we come to Eureka Springs several times a year.

I would give this place 10 stars!! We came for our first anniversary (and so did another couple celebrating 24 YEARS!! Congrats yall!!) Everything from the staff, The music, The food, The atmosphere!! Amazing!! They put games on the table (Assuming because everything is made fresh, so they tell you that it might take a while, but it didn’t bc it wasn’t busy) and that was A HIT! The food was hot, fresh, quick, and YUMMY!! My man’s chicken fried steak was bigger than both our heads combined lol and the MASHED POTATOES? Went to heaven and came back just to eat them again haha they were so good! We literally made friends with the staff and the other tables around us because the vibes were just that cozy and friendly.

Edit: another thing that stood out to me: their menu at the top says they feed people in need of a meal and that sat in my heart. These are GOOD people 🙂

Definitely recommend this place 1000 times over! I’ve never been to Eureka Springs but I have not been let down yet by the amazing food and friendly atmosphere.

So glad we stopped in! We weren't sure at first since we had a little with us but it turned out great. The service was really awesome...wish I could remember our waiters name because he was nice and helpful! The food 🫠 was so good. The pretzels amd cheese dip WOW I fell in love! Well go back just for that! The shepherds pie was delicious my husband loved it and it was a decent sized serving! The burger was great, the fries were decent I think next time well try the sweet potatoe fries! Only complaint i had was i sat in an awkward spot 😅 with a giant chair that made me feel like a queen that was blocking the middle of the walking area 😆 can't wait to go back! Until then I will be dreaming of that cheese dip 🤣

I wish it was possible to give more than 5 stars! I can't begin to say how wonderful this restaurant is! It was crazy busy, being the zombie crawl weekend, but they got us in quickly. The host was very kind and apologetic about us having to wait but we knew we'd have to. He told us 20 minutes but it was about 10. The inside of the restaurant is very pub like. Very cozy and comfortable. They have a couple of booths that are booths (if you look at the photos you'll understand). Our waiter was a very sweet young man and I'm sorry I can't remember his name. Our drink order came out fast, which was shocking, given the large crowd. The food was fantastic! The cheese and pretzel appetizer was soooooo good. I joked with my husband that if we don't have enough pretzel to finish the cheese, I was just going to dig in with a spoon. It was that good. I had the shepherds pie and loved it. Great flavor. It wasn't traditional, not made with lamb so it was more of a cowboy pie, but it was absolutely yummy. My husband had the rueben sandwich and he said it was the best one he'd ever had. We had some cocktails. I had the luck of the Irish and he had the Irish maid. Both were very good and refreshing. Sweet but not too sweet. This was our anniversary weekend and we got married in Alaska, where duck farts are common and we had a lot of them there. Well when I went to the bathroom my husband ordered us duck farts, which McGarity's doesn't make a lot of, I'm sure. But when he asked, they checked the ingredients and made them! It was a pleasant suprise! McGarity's is definitely going to be one of the places we must go to every time we come to Eureka Springs. I can't wait to go back! We loved this place and it was actually one of my favorite things we did while in town! 20/10!!! Good job McGarity's! ❤️🍀
I would also love to mention that they supplied feminine hygiene products in the bathroom. They also have a sign asking for people to NOT tip on take away orders! 💚

We absolutely loved this restaurant! We tried it based on the recommendation of a friend and it did not disappoint.

The food was absolutely delicious Irish American fusion, and one of our new favorite casual eating places to eat in Eureka. Expect to pay around $20 per person, but the portions are very large and you will likely have leftovers. I only subtracted a star from the food for their salad. The salad was almost identical to an Aldi prepackaged salad.

The staff were so friendly and attentive. They were especially sweet to our child. Children under 5 eat for free, as well!

The decor, music, and atmosphere really transports you to Ireland (see photos).

Excellent food and wonderful service! The crab cakes were delicious and large. Drinks were well made. Bangers and mash had a great portion and the seasoning was spot on. Absolutely recommend!

McGarity's was an excellent restaurant. My family visited this establishment and started off with the lifesaver drink (which was incredible). The bartender was not only friendly, but funny as well. For dinner I had the reuben sandwich, and I'm not exaggerating when I say it was one of the best reuben's I've even eaten in my life. A delightful ratio of sauerkraut and beef with the thousand island on the side for dipping purposes. I LOVED it. For my first experience at an specifically Irish restaurant, McGarity's was absolutely worth it. If you're on the area and enjoy Irish Pub food, definitely check out McGarity's for good food and a good time.
