overrated gelato! Not even close to the best I've had. The lady putting the ice cream in the bowls did not wear gloves, some of it was spilling on the side and I saw that she almost wanted to put it back in the cup with her bare hand but stopped. 👀😑

If you are looking for a taste of Italy in Louisville, look no further than Gelato Gilberto. I recently attended their Gelato 101 class at their newest location on Frankfort Ave. The owners Justin & Kristin are so passionate about their craft, and are extremely personable and friendly. They use top quality ingredients in their gelato, and you can tell by the taste! Very vibrant and fun flavors. This is small business done right. I will definitely be a regular customer!

Amazing. My wife and I love gelato and we have tried it in various places in the world.

Great place. Building is very nice. Our server was very upbeat about the gelato.

We had the goat cheese and fig. I wish, it was not so far away from our home I would probably go back a couple of times a week.

I had the lemon gelato and it taste more like frozen lemon juice than it did gelato. It was good and the atmosphere was great, just wasn't gelato. Definitely would return!😋

It was my first time at this location. There is another one in Norton commons. This location had a lot of options including my favorite chocolate orange. I got size large and added regular chocolate, pistachio, and chocolate orange. It was around $5-$6. There is no parking lot, you have to street park.

Absolutely amazing! It's the best gelato I've ever tasted. My husband got the flavor Kinder. I am not a fan of chocolate, but this was delicious. My daughter got vanilla, which was heavenly. I opted for a mix of mango and strawberries. It was very refreshing! Perfect for a hot summer day, we can't wait to return!!

This place is very good considering it's gelato in Louisville Kentucky. The place is decorated very nicely. The staff is nice. We had Italian wedding cake and cream sickle. Both were very good. Would return for sure.

Recently moved to Louisville and was craving some authentic Italian gelato and Gilberto did not disappoint! I had the pistachio and the choc-orange flavors and they were both DIVINE! The pistachio didn’t have that artificial medicinal taste to it, you could taste the real pistachio nuts.

My only minor gripe was that the outdoor ambiance could probably benefit from some cute outdoor lighting as that part of the street is quite dim, but that aside, this will become our new regular dessert spot!
